Since 1981, the Writers' League of Texas (originally the Austin Writers' League) has provided a sense of community and valuable help to four groups of writers: students, aspiring adult writers, those ready to publish, and published authors.
The Writers' League of Texas works to promote literacy and elevate the art of writing, benefiting both writers and readers alike.
Through the many programs of the League, members can hone their skills, learn to write a good query letter, make connections to literary agents, gain valuable tips on marketing, enter contests, network with other writers, and much more.
Its wide array of quality services has positioned the Writers' League of Texas as the state's premier resource for writers of all ages and skill levels
The Writers' League of Texas is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation funded in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts and by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division.
