Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Writing &
Publishing but Were Afraid to Ask with Suzy Spencer - Now Available to Watch at Home via Live-Stream!
Saturday November 12, 1 – 4 PM
$49 members / $109 nonmembers
Location: St. Edwards University, Fleck Hall 206, Austin
Sometimes what stops us from writing is fear and confusion.
That might be because we don’t know how or where to start. Other times, we
start, then stutter and stop because we don’t know what to do next. This
three-hour workshop will give you the opportunity to share your own writing
struggles and ask the burning questions that you’ve always wanted to know about
writing and publishing. We’ll delve into topics like self-talk, discipline,
determination, how to take criticism (constructive and otherwise), and how to
bounce back and keep up one’s confidence no matter the circumstances. Most of all, we’ll talk, improvise, adjust,
learn, laugh, and find the solutions that will result in the successful tapping
of one’s fingers against the keyboard.
Who Should Attend?
- Writers
of both fiction and nonfiction
- New
writers and seasoned pros alike
- Anyone
who has questions about the world of writing and publishing
How Does the Live-Streaming Work?
- If you are interested in attending virtually, send an email to sara@writersleague.org.
- One
hour before the class, you will be emailed a special link that will
take you to a site where you can watch the class online.
- Please
note that live-streaming simply allows you to watch the class happen in
real-time. You will not, unfortunately, be able to participate in the
class yourself.
